MEET
DR. JOHN TOMASHEK.
As a board-certified, fellowship-trained interventional radiologist, Dr. John Tomashek earned his bachelor’s degree in pharmacology and toxicology from the University of Wisconsin-Madison before completing his medical degree in 1996 from the University of Wisconsin Medical School. Dr. Tomashek then completed an internship in general surgery at Loyola University followed by a radiology residency at Methodist Hospital of Indiana, where he also completed his fellowship in vascular and interventional radiology.
THE VEIN TREATMENT PATHWAY.
As a new patient concerned about their vein health, we recognize it’s important to have a thorough understanding of your diagnosis. We believe each patient should leave their first appointment with a full understanding of their vein diagnosis as well as the preferred treatment recommendations specific to their condition. The Precision Vein Center does not require multiple appointments to achieve a diagnosis.
Your first Precision Vein appointment includes a personal consultation with Dr. John Tomashek as well as a vascular ultrasound. Following the ultrasound, Dr. Tomashek will discuss your ultrasound results and family history, as well as provide his recommendations and treatment plan. Each patient is unique; some may need an outpatient varicose vein procedure while others may only need sclerotherapy for spider veins. Rest assured, after receiving Dr. Tomashek’s thorough evaluation you will have the education and treatment recommendations necessary to plan your return to active living!
If a varicose vein procedure is recommended, you can expect your post-procedure followup appointment to include another vascular ultrasound, the removal of any stitches as well as an opportunity to discuss any of your post procedure questions.
